OPEN NETWORK FOR DIGITAL COMMERCE

The Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) is transforming India’s e-commerce landscape by democratizing market access and fostering financial inclusion. Connecting 30 million sellers with 300 million shoppers by 2024, ONDC supports MSMEs and rural entrepreneurs, enhancing competitiveness through a decentralized, interoperable network. Collaborations with buyer network; sellers network; logistic service providers like Delhivery, Shipyaari; and FinTechs like PhonePe and Paytm boost hyperlocal commerce and streamline logistics. By enabling financial institutions to reach underserved populations, ONDC not only bolsters the MSME sector but also drives economic growth and innovation.

Buyer Apps

ONDC Buyer Apps are digital storefronts enabling customers to shop from various sellers via WatchOS, web apps, and mobile apps. They offer discounts, loyalty points, and a user-friendly shopping interface. Key features include payment collection, order management, seller communication, headless operation through APIs, and seller rating based on service quality.

Seller Apps

ONDC Seller Apps connect sellers to a broad buyer network, allowing them to showcase products, manage catalogs, orders, and fulfillments, process refunds and returns, handle compensation, and respond to buyer queries. They also provide cost breakdowns, update order statuses, and offer relevant products in response to buyer searches.

ONDC supports an open ecosystem of multiple logistics partners, allowing sellers to choose providers based on cost, coverage, and quality. This competition reduces costs and benefits buyers. Providers handle pick-up, delivery, order tracking, extensive coverage, last-mile delivery, integration with ONDC protocols, and various delivery complexities.
