In the last 5-6 years, Fintech as a start-up category has attracted maximum eyeballs globally for being a disrupting force in all aspects of the financial services. Given the magnitude and the scale of changes that are expected, global investors are charging in, with 2016 witnessing a whopping $ 24.7 Billion worth of investment. This has opened new opportunities of enterprise creation and entrepreneurship, which in turn are generating value-adding jobs.

These new jobs require an understanding of

– Regulatory framework,

– Current financial services offerings,

– The gaps or consumer pain points,

– Tech innovations

– Access to global case studies and more…

While FinTech has become the talk of the town and information comes in from all quarters, yet many professionals wonder where to begin with. Currently in India, there is no single source of truth to tap into and learn from in a crisp manner on what constitutes the FinTech domain and the skills that are needed.

The Digital Fifth has taken the task to bridge this learning gap by introducing India’s first Fintech Masterclass starting with Mumbai. Masterclass included Fintech overview and insights as well as segment specific discussions on Payments, Lending, PFM, Blockchain, AI and API Banking.

To enrich the sessions, there were sessions by senior industry leaders including Vikram Sud : Investor and Fintech Mentor,  Sujatha Mohan : Head – Digital and New Initiatives RBL Bank, Abhishant Pant : Founder at Cashless journey, Vikram Chachra : Founding Partner at Eight Innovate Ventures, Gaurav Zutshi : Chief Digital Officer at Aditya Birla Financial Services, Wribhu Tyagi : Founder of Deal4loans, Nimesh Mehta : Founder and CEO at Rockmetric and Sanachit Mehra : Founder at Cateina Technologies.

The Masterclass was attended by bankers, industry leaders, Fintech promoters and Fintech aficionados. Based success of this session, The Digital Fifth would be organizing this on monthly basis and will also create specific training modules for specific segments like Payments and Lending. The next Masterclass would be organized on 3rd and 4th Feb.
